Housed on both GW’s Foggy Bottom campus and Virginia Science and Technology Campus, SON’s locations offer students the best of both health policy and educational technology.

SON’s Virginia Science and Technology Campus (VSTC) is situated in the heart of Northern Virginia’s technology corridor, an area known as an international leader in research, technological, and development oriented companies. Home to a new, state-of-the-art, 3,000-square-foot simulation lab, the campus boasts cutting-edge educational facilities that give its students a decided edge over their counterparts at other institutions. Near to Dulles International Airport, the VSTC campus is easily accessible via car or shuttle from the Foggy Bottom Campus.

The Foggy Bottom campus — the central campus of the University — is just steps away from the White House, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the Pan American Health Organization, and numerous other national and international governmental and nongovernmental health organizations. With a metro stop on campus, Foggy Bottom is a bustling neighborhood in the heart of the city that is easily accessible by car, train, metro, and foot.

GW SON continues to be ranked among the top 50 schools of nursing. GW is in the top 13% of ranked graduate nursing schools. 

US News & World Report also ranks our online MSN #26 out of more than 144 programs nationwide.

In a first-ever ranking of Doctor of Nursing Practice programs, we are no. 30, placing us in the top 20% of ranked programs. These top rankings reflects the quality of our student engagement, faculty credentials and training, student services and technology, peer recognitions, and admissions selectivity.
