Are you a veteran committed to helping others?  If so, now you can receive academic credit for your military training and experience, earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), and transition your skills and experience into a nursing career.

GW’s Veterans BSN offers a curricular road map tailored to each student. While maintaining the highest academic standards, quality clinical experiences, and NCLEX pass rates, this Veterans BSN option has an efficient design to shorten your time to degree completion. Conditional admission into this pathway may be offered following an initial application and pending completion of all pre-requisites with the required GPA.

  • Be a prior service member with an honorable or general discharge, including reservists
  • Have a desire to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

The GW School of Nursing has been awarded a three-year, $1 million grant to develop a bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) designed to support in their transition to the professional nursing workforce.  This Veterans Educational Transition to Success (VETS) Initiative is funded by the US Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). George Washington University Named ‘Military Friendly School’

September 25, 2014

The George Washington University has been designated as a 2015 “Military Friendly School” in G.I. Jobsmagazine, an honor bestowed to the top 15 percent of colleges and universities that are doing the most for military and veteran students.

It is the sixth consecutive year that GW has been recognized for embracing military students and dedicating resources to ensure their success in the classroom and after graduation.
