Vision and Values

We will drive innovation and improvements in health care worldwide through the education of compassionate nurses, esteemed educators and researchers, entrepreneurial leaders and influential policy experts.

Dr. Laurie Posey

In a team led by Dr. Laurie Posey, GW Nursing faculty members were awarded a grant from the National Council of State Boards of Nursing to focus on increasing opportunities for health care students to engage with patients online using the Virtual Patient Portal.

Student volunteer works with child at Camp Dogwood

Faculty and students volunteer at Camp Dogwood to provide underprivileged campers with health education and treatment as needed. Students take rotations as charge nurse, mirroring experiences they will have in real health care settings.
