Dr. Lora earned her first bachelor's degree from Florida International University in International Relations before entering an accelerated B.S.N. program at Johns Hopkins University. She worked as a night shift bedside nurse in Baltimore for six years and earned her M.S.N. degree from Notre Dame University of Maryland during that time. She moved on to work as a nurse educator and lab instructor before going back to school to earn her Doctor of Nursing Practice (D.N.P.) degree from Johns Hopkins University in 2022.
