Congratulations to three faculty members who received promotions this academic year. Dr. Kimberly Acquaviva is now a Professor, while Drs. Sandra Davis and Arlene Pericak were promoted to Associate Professor.
Dr. Acquaviva, who is a GW Nursing founding faculty member and the first non-nurse to receive tenure, published a book earlier this spring. As a social worker teaching within the school, her research and scholarship are interdisciplinary and collaborative.
Dr. Arlene Pericak has had a career more than 20 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner and educator of nurse practitioner students. Her research interests include best practices in educating nurse practitioner students and the autonomy and scope of practice issues for practicing nurse practitioners.
Dr. Sandra Davis has served as program director for GW Nursing’s Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner MSN option, but is now transitioning from that role to serve as co-leader of the school’s new Advisory Council for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
