This prestigious honor recognizes nurse practitioners who have made outstanding contributions to healthcare through clinical practice, research, education, or policy. Dr. Stanley was selected through a rigorous process that identifies NPs who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to advancing the profession and making a lasting impact.
"This recognition reflects Dr. Stanley's unwavering commitment to excellence in nursing practice and education," said Dr. Susan Kelly-Weeder, dean of the GWU School of Nursing. "Her selection as an AANP Fellow highlights the caliber of our faculty and their contributions to the nursing profession."
Dr. Stanley will be formally inducted during the FAANP Induction Ceremony on June 19, 2025, in San Diego, California, as part of the AANP National Conference. This year's ceremony is particularly significant as it marks the 25th anniversary of the FAANP program.
Established in 2000, the AANP Fellows program is dedicated to the global advancement of nurse practitioners and the high-quality healthcare they provide. Fellows are expected to actively contribute their expertise as reviewers, topical experts, committee members, journal contributors, mentors, and more.
