Heidi Schroeder enjoys collaborating with faculty to design, develop, and review online and hybrid courses to ensure quality. She is a certified Master Reviewer through Quality Matters. She earned the Staff “Impact” Award in 2023 for her work in developing an online rubric dashboard. Heidi facilitates a variety of workshops for the Online Learning Consortium, including: Essentials for Online Faculty, Project Management for Instructional Designers, and Designing Interactive Video. Prior to joining The George Washington University, she served as an Instructional Designer and Adjunct Instructor at the University of South Florida, where she was recognized as an “Incredi-bull Critical Thinking” faculty member. In her free time, Heidi enjoys spending time with family at the beach near her home in southwest Florida.
- Co-lead the Instructional Design team in the planning, development, and quality review of online and hybrid courses.
- Manage a suite of course design and development projects to ensure timely delivery each semester
- Support faculty in identifying and implementing appropriate technology to support students in developing and demonstrating mastery of course outcomes
- Design and deliver faculty professional development opportunities related to quality course design, development, and delivery
- Serve as the School of Nursing Staff Council Vice Chair
