What inspired you to become an academic advisor?
My passion in life has always been centered on helping others, and academic advising is where that purpose truly comes to life. I am inspired by the opportunity to support students as they navigate their academic paths, define their aspirations, and build confidence in themselves. Being part of a student's academic journey is incredibly meaningful to me and gives purpose to the work I do every day.

What advice do you find yourself giving most often?
I often remind students to trust their journey. Even when things feel discouraging, challenges are often moments of growth in disguise. What feels like an ending can actually be the beginning of a new and meaningful chapter. Everything happens for a reason.

What’s one fun fact about you that students might not guess?
I love animals! I have a Shih Tzu named Zoey who loves to be in the background of my Zoom meetings as a part-time GW Nursing employee.

What’s your favorite quote or piece of advice you live by?
You never know what someone is going through, so be kind.

What’s your favorite hobby or way to relax outside of work?
I love cozy hobbies like reading fantasy novels, playing Animal Crossing, and binge-watching my favorite shows like RuPaul's Drag Race or the most recent true crime or cult documentary on Netflix.

What’s your favorite place on campus?
In Exploration Hall, there is a beautiful balcony overlook on one of the top floors - it's the perfect place to get some sun and relax

What’s your favorite lunch spot near campus?
Sense of Thai in One Loudoun (I love Thai food!)

What’s a resource on campus you wish more students took advantage of?
TimelyCare - all GW students have free access to this telehealth platform. Students can get on-demand help for common health issues, 24/7 emotional support to talk about anything from anxiety to school stressors to relationships, and self-care content. It is an amazing resource.
