Event Cancelled

Effective immediately, all in-person social gatherings and events are cancelled. In addition, exams scheduled for Friday, December 17, and through the end of the semester will be held virtually.

Each year on December 18 we celebrate National Wreaths Across America Day to remember, honor and teach. This celebration is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 2,500 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.

Ceremony Details

To honor our veterans and to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Wreaths Across America, the GW School of Nursing will host a wreath ceremony on Saturday, December 18 at noon in the lobby of Innovation Hall on the Virginia Science and Technology Campus. 

The event will include remarks from Professor Ric Ricciardi, CRNP, Ph.D., FAANP, FAAN, who served on active duty in the U.S. Army for 31 years, and Delegate David Reid. Special guests will include members of local veterans groups, and Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops. Light refreshments will be served.

How to register

We ask that all attendees please RSVP. The event is open to the faculty, staff and students. We ask that attendees from outside the GW community please follow the university's Visitor Access Registration guidelines.
