What inspired you to become an academic advisor?
After navigating my own undergraduate journey and often feeling uncertain in my decision‑making, I became committed to ensuring that other students never have to feel that same sense of confusion or isolation. Providing students with top‑tier support has always been a priority for me. My goal is to help make their time here meaningful and impactful in ways that continue to shape their lives long after they leave the SON.
What advice do you find yourself giving most often?
Take a deep breath, settle in, and move forward one step and one task at a time. Advocate for yourself often, and remember—you are capable of doing hard things.
What’s one fun fact about you that students might not guess?
I own a cute little 21-foot camper and love going on vacations with my family and three dogs.
What’s your favorite quote or piece of advice you live by?
In the end, we only regret the chances we didn't take.
What’s your favorite hobby or way to relax outside of work?
Big sourdough fan. Making multiple batches of sourdough is so relaxing to me. I also love spending time with my family, whether it's watching movies on the couch or playing in the backyard.
What’s your favorite place on campus?
The rooftop in Exploration!
What’s your favorite lunch spot near campus?
Tatte
What’s a resource on campus you wish more students took advantage of?
The events that we provide. We offer so many ways for them to connect and learn more about the field they are diving into.
