Beginning his service at just 17 years old, Chad launched his career in the United States Marine Corps, where he spent a decade developing the discipline, resilience, and leadership that continue to define his professional identity. After ten years of honorable service and a medical retirement, he transitioned his commitment to service into higher education, earning a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Sport Science from the University of Mary Hardin–Baylor.

Driven by a continued desire to serve his community, Chad joined the Killeen Police Department, where he spent two and a half years as a Police Officer. His work in law enforcement strengthened his ability to stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and support individuals and families during their most vulnerable moments. Seeking a new path in healthcare, he relocated to Virginia to attend The George Washington University School of Nursing, where he trained to become a Labor and Delivery Nurse. As a male nurse in one of the most intimate and demanding specialties, he quickly became known for his empathy, clinical excellence, and ability to build trust with patients and families during life‑changing experiences.

Today, Chad serves as the Director of Clinical Placement and Compliance at his alma mater, The George Washington University School of Nursing. In this role, he oversees clinical partnerships, ensures regulatory and accreditation alignment, and supports the next generation of nurses as they transition from classroom learning to real‑world practice. His unique blend of military discipline, public service, clinical expertise, and academic leadership allows him to bridge operational needs with student success in a way few professionals can.

Across every chapter of his career, Chad has remained committed to service, integrity, and the development of others — values that continue to guide his work in shaping the future of nursing education.
