GW Commencement 2022

University Commencement is an 'Only at GW' experience that takes place on the National Mall and is open to all graduates, from bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs, to come and celebrate their achievements.
This event requires tickets and includes remarks from leadership, the commencement speaker, and the honorary degree recipients. Visit commencement.gwu.edu for more information about arrival, assembly, and processions.
Commencement Day Schedule:
8:30 a.m. Graduates should arrive wearing their regalia and line up by school
9:00 a.m. Faculty should arrive wearing their regalia and report to the backstage check-in tent
9:30 a.m. All guests should be seated
10:00 a.m. Academic processions begin
10:30 a.m. Remarks begin
12:00 p.m. Ceremony ends
