Vivian Bowman

Vivian is a full-time Visiting Clinical Instructor at The George Washington University School of Nursing. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Nursing Education at Fort Hays State University, during which she implemented a quality improvement project studying the effects of simulation on confidence and anxiety in undergraduate nursing students. 

She began her nursing career on the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and went on to serve as Lead Preceptor. In this role, she collaborated with the professional development team to onboard, educate, and support new graduate nurses, while also serving as a facilitator throughout the Nurse Residency Program. 

In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Vivian serves as the Student Nurses Association Faculty Advisor as well as the Sigma Phi Epsilon chapter Secretary. She is passionate about mentoring the next generation of nurses and helping them grow from novice learners into confident, competent, and compassionate professionals.
