Students organized successful blood drive with INOVA Hospital
Video featuring stylized shots of GW students, campus and Washington DC with the following text: GW Nursing is the destination for modern nursing education at every degree level; the destination for veterans transitioning into the healthcare workforce; the destination for groundbreaking research; the destination for health policy conversations; GW Nursing is the destination for health policy; for health policy; GW Nursing is your destination.
For the second year in a row, the George Washington University School of Nursing earned top-30 rankings in the U.S. News & World Report’s Best Master’s Programs (#27) and Best DNP Programs (#30).
These solid rankings, paired with the school’s top 10 rankings in many specialty areas, are a testament to GW’s growing reputation as a premier destination for nurses looking to advance their careers and excel in administration and management (MSN #3, DNP #4), family nurse practitioner (MSN #10, DNP #13), adult-gerontology primary care (MSN #6, DNP #10), and adult-gerontology acute care (DNP #9). This is the first year that U.S. News & World Report has ranked many of these specialty areas, making GW Nursing’s high rankings particularly notable.
GW Nursing is excited to welcome students, faculty and staff to campus. Learn more about the steps GW and the School of Nursing are taking to prepare for your arrival to campus, including updating our public health protocols and reviewing and updating our buildings and classrooms.
Entering summer, the GW Nursing found itself at a crossroad with the departure of Dean Pamela Jeffries, who had led the school for six years. Her tenure proved monumental for the young school and ensured that it was on solid footing moving forward, with steady leadership, a strong research portfolio, and student scholarship as its highest priority. The fall e-issue of GW Nursing magazine delves into these issues and more and illustrates some of the amazing work being done by the GW Nursing community. Enjoy this issue and, as always, stay safe and healthy.
